Decision Tree: How to Choose Your Projects

Written by Tom Greenwood - August 22, 2012

At Wholegrain Digital we believe that well designed processes play a key role in ensuring that projects run smoothly, clients get a great product and that everyone enjoys working together.

One of the very first elements of our process comes before the project even starts, as we have to decide whether it is a good decision for us to do the project at all.  This is a step that can easily get ignored and yet is fundamental to the successful running of any project.

The decision tree below (Should we do this website project?) is one of our internal process documents that we use to help us rationally assess whether a project is a good fit for us, and whether we are a good fit for the project.

To do or not to do? That is the question!

If you’re a designer or developer yourself, feel free to use this as part of your process or as an inspiration for your own decision tree.

If you find this interesting, why not leave a comment or email us to let us know how you decide which projects to take on?
