Ross Gunn is National Champion. Again!

Written by Tom Greenwood - October 19, 2012

We’re delighted to announce that this weekend, the super talented and determined Ross Gunn became the 2012 British Junior Max Karting Champion.  Despite having been suffering from a serious chest infection just days before, Ross was on pole for the first race on Sunday, dominated the field to win with a huge lead, and then went on to drive a level headed and incredibly mature second race to clench the 2012 title.

Ross is only 15 years old and 2012 was his first season in the Junior Max series.   Last year Ross won the 2011 British Mini Max Karting Championship before progressing to Junior Max for the 2012 season, making him the first driver ever to win the two titles back to back.

What next?

At the end of November, Ross will be travelling to Portugal as part of Team GB to race in the world championships, for which we wish him the best of luck.

After that it’s all open for 2013, but a possible move into cars is certainly in his sights.
